In the past, I've harvested yeast from Old Rosie cider for my own brews but sadly, Old Rosie is now pasteurised and harvesting is no longer possible.
I'm thinking of giving it a go with some bottle conditioned beers but don't want to waste my time if the manufacturers are doing the same thing with the pasteurisation.
Has anyone successfully harvested yeast from bottled beers and if so, which brands worked?
I'd be particularly interested to hear of any successes with Chimay or the heavier Belgian beers.
