You do have yeast in there, it's just mixed in with the trub. This happened to me the first time I tried washing yeast - it didn't seperate out like I was expecting. Here what I would do I had what you have, basically a yeast cake in a jar:

That jar you have it in looks quite big 5L? Boil and cool some water, enough to fill the jar up. Then once filled, give the jar a good shake and leave it for 20 mins. The trub will fall out of suspension to the bottom of the jar and the yeast will stay in suspention. Get some other recepticles jars, bottles, whathave you. Enough to collect most of the yeast in suspension. Sanitise the recepticles and pour as much of the suspended yeast into as you can into a recepticle.

This bits important to make sure you don't get any trub mixed in with the yeast
. After filling the first recepticle if it wasn't big enough to smoothly pour and collect all the yeast suspension you need to reswirl all the trub and yeast into suspension and leave again for 20 mins. The reason you do this is because if you put the jar down to get another recepticle, the trub at the bottom of the jar will mix in with the yeast suspension and you will get some trub in your recepticle and not just yeast.

Thats it basically. You should then have one or more recepticles with yeast and no trub in it. Stick em in the fridge for the yeast to settle out.

For future reference here's the best way I found of collecting yeast and no trub:

*Boil an cool 2L of water.
* Chuck it in your FV and give it a good swill around to get everything into suspension
* Leave it for 20 mins. The trub should have fallen to the bottom and a layer of yeast in suspension will be sitting on top.
* Carefully pour as much of this yeast suspension off into a recepticle (note the advice above about using more than one recepticle if you have to). As soon as you see any trub starting to get mixed in with your yeast suspension, stop pouring.
*Put recepticles in fridge for yeast to settle out
