Five is a very safe choice and is similar to US05 and many other West Coast (of the USA) yeasts. It is OK with late August temps and that may tip the scales in its favour.

Maybe in 2 months time you would go English Ale yeast of some sort.

Has anyone tried Atlantic? I bottled a batch for the first time today. Clean with a rock solid yeast cake, but less attenuating than Five. Haven't had a taste though as the beers not ready.
CML say floccuation is medium, but I'd say it was high.

Probably Ale. Five is a US-style yeast. Hopback brew English ales
I'm not sure that means a great deal today, but Hopback have been brewing this for a long time and I think you're probably right. I brewed SL more than any other beer in the 90s and drunk the real thing when I went out. I used to use S-04 in the day. I remember that the beer, whether homebrew or commercial, often had a slight haze. A characteristic of the malt, rather than the yeast, I presume, as S-04 drops clear.
