My Summer Lightning has been in the FV for 7 days now so I took a reading and it was 1012 so there's a wee bit to go.

Something I did notice was the yeasties have clumped together into little chunks.

Is this a good or bad thing? Do I wait until these have dropped before moving to secondary regardless of FG reading?

Thanks in advance

Some strains of yeast tend to flocculate more aggressively and clump together than other strains. Wyeast 1968 often looks like a bowel of lumpy cheese! If your gravity has not changed over the course of a few days, it's fine to rack to secondary. It does eventually settle out.

Good luck! :thumb:

cool. Thanks

Today was my first gravity reading so will know tomorrow if it's moving then will check on sat for the final check.
