This was on my first brew. I followed the instructions perfectly and still found that after 1 week of my beer bottles of being in the fridge, they have a small rather unmoving white sludge on the bottom. At first I thought, that despite my best efforts, I thought I had messed up the syphoning and got sedement in the beer.
I later found this was not true. Although I dipped slightly into the sediment on my last bottles with my sedement prevention syphon. I was shocked to notice that all my bottles had a thin layer of sludge/yeast on the bottom. I did not disturb the sedement.
i just wanted to know more about this white sludge yeast at the bottom of the bottles. Is there a simple way to prevent it or does it need expencive exipment to stop this happening.
Mostly importanly is it safe to drink if you finish the bottle?
