Anyone used 1187? I made a starter yesterday, the nutrient didnt pop so I didn't bother with it. It was a 2litre starter with 200mgs DME and on a stirrer plate for 18 hours. There was absolutely zero krausen and no sign of any bubbles at all. When I switched the stirrer off it has settled to what looks like plenty of yeast at the bottom only slightly browner than I am used to with White Labs yeasts I have used. Is this normal?
I will taste it when I decant but just wondered if anyone can throw any light on this?

From memory the one time I used that yeast I found the same thing, next to no krausen even in the FV. Made a decent beer though.
