I've brewed in the past and recently got back into it.
Only interested in kits.
My latest brews have been Cwtch Welsh.
Muntons Hazy Ipa, an American IPA, and just bottled an Oaked Rum Ale.
Still got the Festival woodland citra in the fermenter.

Any other good IPA type kits you'd recommend?

Cheers
Grant

Would be good to hear your thoughts on the woodland Citra. The partridge brothers have just done a review of it and didn't like it one bit. Strange for them as it's their type of beer (mind you, usually any beer is their type of beer).

Cheers Tom

Mangrove Jacks Pink Grapefruit IPA and Juicy IPA are both top kits. You'll find reviews for both on this site.

They've recently released Cold IPA, which I haven't done but was very highly rated by the Partridge Brothers on YouTube (10/10). Be aware, though, that one is on the strong side.

All IPA kits I tried were good. I read that modern kits are nearly all good. I pressure ferment though, it makes things easier

Youngs American IPA is the GOAT for me £25.49 @ keg that.... i'll get it on for Crimbo!

Muntons west coast ipa is very nice but also very strong. My most recent batch of Youngs was quite bitter but previous ones were OK.
How was the best by date on the Young's? I did a couple of Festival American IPA that were close to date and they were very bitter too. An earlier brew was fine. Just a thought.....

I didn't actually check that. It's a popular kit and it wasn't discounted so I'm assuming it wasn't short dated but who knows, you may be right.

I just did mangrove Jack Kveik IPA, quite nice. I don't like really strong citric flavours and this one was good.
There is a dry hop to do so I'd recommend a low pressure ferment it(if doing pressure fermentation) until after adding the hops.

I'm just about to keg a pimped Coopers Mexican Cerveza. Done with 1kg extra light DME and 500g dextrose with SafAle S33 because I didn't trust the 6g kit yeast to deal with the DME very well.

I have started to use 11g yeast packs in place of kit yeasts if I've added DME or the kit has been hanging around for a while.
