i deffo want to use the spay malt hops wise i can get from any where i have some :thumb:
mashtun 10gal
hlt/boiler say 26 ltr max

1350g dark spay malt
500g light spray malt
406g crystal malt
300g flake barley
280g brown malt
484g whole black malt
310g torrified wheat
330g rosted barly
384g choclate malt
540g pale malt
872g oats

hops
100g fuggles
100g east kent goldings
60g bramling cross whole
 
i would love to try a Vanilla oatmeal Stout Recipe ??????
if any body has a recipy i could try :thumb:
ps has any body made a vanilla stout yet if so wot was it like mmmmmmmm
 
I have posted up my Oatmeal Stout which i am doing tommorow here, but looking at your grains and hops you have probably done it before.
 
blackwell stout ? coopers best extra stout ? courage russian imperial stout ? marstons oyster stout (no oysters) ? sapporo black stout draft ? victory storm king imperial stout ?watneys cream stout ? thats about it , all of these i have extract , (or all grain if others wanted)

no probs , can you choose 2 for now :lol: dont want to be typing all night i can do others as and when you want em :thumb:

Victory Storm King Imperial Stout

19.5 litres (to convert to 23litres divide by 19.5 then times by 23)
og 1093
fg 1021-1022
IBU 80
srm99
abv 9.1%

mature up to 12 months, ready to drink after 8 months after it is carbonated and will peak at 8 to 12 months , it will keep for 2 years at cellar temps, serve at 16c (in a goblet)

steep in 3.8l at 150f/65.5c of water for 30 mins ,

340g dark crystal malt (German)
170g roasted barley
142g British chocolate malt
142g British black malt
strain into pot and sparge with 3.8l of water at 65.5c

add water to pot to make up 7.6l total , bring to boil remove from heat and add,

4.6kg muntons extra light DME
227g cane sugar
chinook bittering hop (57g if 11.25%aa ) 22.HBU

Add water to pot to make a total of 13.2l of liquor then boil for 45 mins and then add,

(poss 28g) of flavour hop Centennial
1tsp of Irish moss

Boil for 12 mins more then add,

14g Cascade (aroma hop)
14g Centennial (aroma hop)

Boil for a further 3 mins ,

remove from heat and cool for 15 mins , strain into FV and top up with cold water to a total of 19.5 litres
pitch yeast when wort is under 70f/21c

wyeast 1056 American Ale yeast (wlp001 California ale yeast) or
wyeast 1028 London Ale yeast (wlp 013 London ale yeast )

ferment for 7 days siphon to 2nd FV and
dry hop with 28g Cascade

bottle prime with 300ml of muntons extra light DME in boiled water (473ml)

i would do a starter as the OG is high , enjoy :cheers:
 
Courage Russian Imperial Stout

OG 1103
FG 1022-1024
IBU 61
SRM 110
ABV 10.3%

same as last post 8 months before ready to serve at 16c

same amounts of water and times for steep etc
340g British crystal malt
283g British chocolate malt
85g rosted barley
British black malt

then
4.8kg light DME
450g cane sugar
150g black treacle
hop =Target (8.5% aa 57g) 17 HBU bittering hop

add water to total of 15l then boil (sameas last recipe) 45 mins etc

add 14g target (flavour hop)
1 tsp Irish moss
boil for 10 mins
add 14g target (aroma hop)
boil for 5 mins cool for 15 mins then add water to a total of 19.5 litres

yeast
wyeast 1084 Irish ale (wlp004 Irish ale yaest ) or
wyeast 1968 London ESB ale yeast (wlp002 English ale yeast)

ferment at 68-72f/20-22c
7 days then syphon into 2nd FV and add steamed light toasted oak chips bottle with 300ml light DME with 473ml of boiled water
