Nice results. Any tips or hints for best way to solve these puzzles?

There seems to be quite a few ways people try. For me I usually try any word with two vowels that pops into my head, if I get two yellows I try them at the start or finish. Keeping American spelling in mind helps.
I sort through the options in my head, if there too many left by line three, line four may be a completely different word to rule as many letters as possible.
A friend always starts with adieu!
