Does your keg have a valve to add co2?

If it does, game on, give it a bit of pressure and also let the natural pressure build up, of it gets too much the PRV will let some c02 out :thumb:

I can put gas in but its one of those small cannister types from wilkos, I think i will keg some and bottle some, then see what its like in a few weeks if its a bit flat then add gas. The one thing I so have is time as its for xmas.

Just bottle 5 as testers?

Also - see if you can swap the lid for one with an s30 valve - the s30- canisters are much better value for money - £15 outlay for the cylinder then £4-£5 for an exchange and they last for about 4 kegs.

Yeah I know I really should get something better maybe even a corny keg, but the wife bought this for me so just using it for now. Ok 6 bottles as testers the rest goes in the keg. Im going to get on with this tomorrow along with staring off a coopers lager and that wurzel orange wine Ive heard so much about. By the way Wez thx for all your advice and quick replies it really is appreciated

No problem :thumb:

Use Norman for your cornies (see the Links button) mention that you are from The Home Brew Forum ;) (mention Wez too ;) )

I have 2 gallons of Wurzels Orange Wine on the go right now - it's gone mental

Well think I made a right pigs ear of this. Sterilised the keg and bottles etc, dissloved 85 grams of sugar. While waiting I took a reading in the barrel, looked more to 1020!. I quickly jumped on here to read thru the various posts on stuck fermentation panicking like hell, then decided to take a reading out of a sample jar (dont know why). It read 1010!. So decided to press on. I added the dissolved sugar to my barrel and syphoned off the beer into it, now I wanted to bottle some (10 bottles) ended up putting the bottles directly underneath the tap to fill them, I know I know, I relly have to get hold of a little bottler, Im not happy

It'll be fine, relax :thumb:
You have to try really hard or be really unlucky to make an undrinkable beer ;)

Well its done now and I just started off my coopers lager and a TC which I had forgotten about (been in the dj bout 2mths) I had a taste and its quite nice accutally so I transferred it to another dj an added some finnings as it tastes more like wine to me, I will leave it to clear then bottle see how it goes

Heres a pic of what I have at the moment ftom left to right, youbgs bitter, then what is going to be wurzels orange wine, at the back is coopers aussie lager, next is a TC which I forgot about so I transfered and added finnings yesterday and on the right is the wherry, ( the rest is bottled. I have also been given 2 of those water bottles (the kind u get in offices) 18 litre capacity, not sure if i can use them yet
