hello all , I've recently been given a kit , admirals reserve . However it's out of date since August 2014. I'm wanting to know whether it's still worth brewing ... And will the yeast be okay ???

Any advice please

Thanks

if its a 2 can kit then it should be ok.... try it and if it doesn't work you've only lost water and if it does you've got a nice pint !

:hat:

The malt extract won't have gone off, it's only a couple of months over. Maybe a couple of years and it could still be OK. If you add the yeast and it doesn't start fermenting in 24 hours nip down Tescos or Wilko and buy a pack of Gervin Ale yeast to sprinkle on the top. Job done.
