WLP090 San Diego Super Yeast

Anyone used it? Mean to be a super-quick and pretty violent violent US west coast style yeast. Just wondered how it is and if there is any point if you still have to leave it a week to clear itself up. Anyone got any experience of it?

Hmm, I cant help but be a bit sceptical. I'll maybe try it sometime and see what its like.

I'm not. Some yeasts are ferocious. Have you read through the reviews/comments on the white labs site for this yeast and done a bit of googling on the strain? Whenever I'm interested in a particular strain that's what I do to get a better idea about it

It really is utterly crazy. Goes off like a bomb. Like US-05 on steroids.

Is it clean? As in, no esters?

I found it to be very clean. The only reason I don't use it more regularly is because I'm lazy and dry M-44 or US-05 is more convenient.

Vermont is on my "to-try" list.
