WLP007 Hefeweissen?

A bit unexpected this. I've been experimenting with US-05, Wyeast 1272 and WLP007 trying to find my prefered yeast for Hoppy pale ales... and I seem to have brewed a clear wheat beer....with no wheat!

Recipe was
7.5kg Golden Promise
800g Vienna
500g Medium Crystal
and Apollo
25g 30min
25g 15min
25g 10 min
25g 5 min
25g 0 min

I was expecting a citrussy APA, instead I have banana... from WLP007? I really need to sort out a fermenting fridge!!
Luckily it's not unpleasant... just not what I expected.

Yea, banana points to high fermentation temps. Good that it's not unpleasant though :thumb: Friend of mine just ended up with 22 or so litres of stout with a DISTINCT banana odour :sick: :lol:
