Hello I'm winegirls hubby.
My brewing skills rate back to my uni days but have rarely been used since so I am a relative beginner. Again
My claim to fame was some 20 years ago, a black cherry wine that found its way into the back of my mothers sideboard and was discovered during a house move.
My old man said, "chuck it out" but we decided to taste it and it was superb, so there goes a plus for maturing !!!!
Another of my past was a joint effort in uni of a real ale.
We made a 40 pinter from a kit. It was awful and had a funny smell. One of the lads said, lets chuck the contents of another kit in it with some more sugar and yeast and see what happens. So we did. The result was amazing and around 13% ABV. It was then named "Old Genitalia" !!!!!!
