You can use the water 1 gallon plastic containers average price about 90p use the spring water in your brew also use as a demijohn cut the cap to fit your bung.:clap:

PB's only suitable if you have some way to get CO2 in there i.e. displace the air (as Chippys link states). Else wine will oxidise just like keeping a half full bottle.
