I’ve made a rhubarb wine which has finished fermenting at .996 and I’ve re racked twice it’s now in the bucket awaiting transfer to demijohns so I’ve degassed it and am about to add some finings so quick question. Is it ok to add the finings A today in the bucket and finings B tomorrow in the bucket then re rack to demijohns in a couple of days?

The stuff i have used usually tells you to add A then add B an hour later i think its so they bond and the particles are so heavy they settle if you add B 24 hours later it probably wont work.

Thanks, yes i read the pack properly, i added B maybe a couple of hrs later. I plan on racking to demijohns in a couple of days, does anybody see a problem in doing this, is it too soon after adding finings?

It’s only “too soon” if it hasn’t cleared.

Personally, I don’t believe my own eyesight and leave it at least three days if the Instructions say “1 to 3 days”!
