So... since I've discovered TC and WOW l feel a bit like Wonka wanting to dabble with new flavours on a road to discovery. I've become fixated with perusing the juice isles of any Supermarket I enter... is this normal for brew noobs like me ?

Which leads me to tonight's discovery in Asda :

Blueberry juice.

Now that's got to have a TC or WOW written all over it ?

I know what you mean. It's like a dirty little secret, hanging around the supermarket juice aisles for that perfect WOW. [emoji23]

I find myself peeking at all the labelling like some sort of content nerd - hiding amongst the unloved and discarded detritus in the aisles with my hooded anorak firmly wrapped around my puzzled and empty little head.

Perhaps I should go back to trainspotting (and that ain't a joke!).

It's reassuring gents to know I'm not alone. We'll be taking notepads in next and jotting down bar code numbers like trains ..

My name is Paul, I am a fruitaholic [emoji39]

I did a blueberry cider kit before which was pretty ****, haven't tried it so far in home made stuff yet...

I think the Asia blueberry was on the watery side (low juice content)

But you know what... I was gonna just make another lowicz type cider tonight, but I might just through caution to the wind and stick 25L of blueberry cider on 😀

If it's rubbish I'll blame you haha

Wo**a 😉

what was the fruit juice / fruit juice concentrate percentage of the whole 'juice drink'

what was the fruit juice / fruit juice concentrate percentage of the whole 'juice drink'
Was 11% blueberry juice and 2% blueberry puree 😯

It was the 'on the rocks' one actually 😶

I said '****' but just relatively speaking, and it was a couple of years ago 😁

Maybe a bit expensive but do you think I could get a decent TC from 3 of these and 1l AJ with some sugar?

That might be nice mate aye !

It's got ascorbic acid in it mind you (yeast inhibitor) would you boil it first ? Haven't tried that so far

I wasn't aware that Ascorbic was a yeast inhibitor. Will it boil out ok, or is there another option? Don't want to possibly ruin the taste at £5 for 3l.

I was just going to make an apple cider but ferment with a couple of those mulled wine spice sacs.
Will probably warm up a litre with the sacs before chucking in.

Haven't tried boiling, but I attempted a alco cola with cola syrup that I later realised had ascorbic in it and it didn't ferment at all !

Hopefully someone else will have experience of boiling it off ?
