I've brewed a pale ale and it tastes wicked. The first box of bottles I drank had the perfect amount of carb, the second box (which sat on the floor) was slightly less carbed. I bottled two weeks ago. If I move the bottles that sat on the floor slightly colder to a warmer environment will that kick off carbonation?
Also, any tips for head retention? Mine could be a bit more sturdy.

Hi you should have no problems with the bottles , the yeast and sugar is still there so they'll still do wants wanted if left warm . Is it a kit or Ag brew , if ag then you could use some pale wheat malt or/and finish mashing at 72c for 15 or so mins .

Think you just need a bit more time - normally leave mine a minimum of 2 weeks in the warm to generate the CO2, then another 2 weeks in the cool to absorb it. Even then it takes a while to get a decent head, I normally try to condition them at least 2 months.

Opening some at the moment that have been in the bottles 5 months and there's almost too much CO2, can only get 1/2 pint before the head climbs out the glass, even with careful pouring
