Been into my local wilko's today and noticed they are phasing out the youngs and muntons beer kits and replacing with their own branded stuff. At the moment it looks like there is a stout, newkie brown, pilsner, english lager and mexican beer. For the price of 1kg bag of wilko's brewing sugar and the mexican tin it's £1-£2 price difference between just a tin of coopers. No idea what it's gonna taste like but for the price I suppose you can't argue. These tins are 40 UK pint kits.

==edit==
Just thinking about modding this kit and trying to make a desperados clone out of it.

There's a topic on converting the coopers cerveza to desperados, have a search on the forum. You basically need to add tequila aromatisse from your home brew store - or real tequila hahah - and lemon juice which kills head retention, some people use lemon rind instead.

Yeah I already caught that thread. looks good.

My wife dragged me back to Wilko's, I swear she is addiced to the place, and I sulked off to the homebrew section. They had some branded two can kits. Can't remember what they were called. But it looks like they are expanding their range.
