Hi All,
I have had a Wilko Ceveza kit in the FV bang on 2 weeks today, just took a reading and its 1.008 on the Hydrometer, should I leave it longer?. Dont think the cold overnight Temps are doing me any favours, its in the front room and when I get up at 6.30am its around 10C in here, so has it stalled or should I just leave it longer. Next project me thinks will be a fermentation Fridge

At 1.008 and 14 days in I would think its done, or more or less. Kit FGs rarely go much less in my experience. So If the air lock (if you have one fitted) has stopped bubbling and the beer in the FV looks to be clearing I think you can safely go ahead and bottle.
As for temperature control I use one of these

This is an alternative if you only want to maintain temp when the the temp drops (no good if you want to drop the temp to brew lager)

Regarding the Ceeveza, once done put it somewhere cool for 24hrs to let the yeast drop out, then you'll have a clearer brew for bottling.

Thanks Darrellm, never thought of that, when I first started I bought two aquarium heaters and used to put it in the wort (dont judge me :-) )so will re purpose them and do the water bath, what a great forum this is thanks for the ideas
