Wilkinsons mexican cerveza

HI I,ve just been into wilko's and had a glance at the homebrew section (as you do), and noticed theve restocked and rebranded.
Now im a big fan of the coopers cerveza, but couldnt resist buying a wilko's brand cerveza for a tenner does anyone know who makes it as im guessing it wasnst youngs as I never saw a £10 youngs cerveza kit. Im making it this afternoon so will post a review in a month or so if no one has done.

I didn't get a proper look, I noticed its only a 1.5kg kit though, I'm sure most other single cans are around 1.7kg, will be interested in seeing your review once it's done

My first ever Coopers Mexican Cerveza which was only bottled on the 19 July is growing into a very nice pint and very suited to my taste. Its one I will brew more of.

The Wilko's cerveza is made by Muntons. Wilkos no longer use Youngs as their supplier. The have gone own brand instead widening their range. If it is a 1.5 kg pack then it will have less mouthfeel than the Coopers.

Its not too bad I made it straight away and followed the instructions with no tinkering to give it a proper review, Which I will post soon
Are all the wilko's cheap kits made by muntons then? and is it worth risking the 30 bottle of wine kits?

HI there - I'm a new member and a novice home brewer and I've done a schoolboy error of starting my brewing kit (Wilkinsons Cerveza) I've thrown the instructions and can't remember when to bottle it! i think it's after 7 days with half a spoon of sugar in each bottle - does anyone know if this is right???

Welcome to the forum Shaun :thumb:
1/2 a spoon of sugar is about right, as is 7 days, but if you have a hydrometer with the kit wait until you get 2 readings the same over 24 hours before racking off.
