Got a lot of brewing planned as my Brother is visiting from Canada in May. He brews over there so I'm aiming to have about 6 batches done by then.

I did a double brew day last Saturday and knocked up a Janet's Brown from the brewing network and a big IPA.

Tomorrow I'm doing a clone of Stone's Ruination and the Trainwreck IPA from beer smith recipes. I'm using White Labs 007 for the Ruination (starter on) and using the San Diego yeast from last weeks IPA for the Trainwreck.

Here's the recipes

Who else is brewing? What you doing?

Wow, ruination is quite a task. quality beer. good luck with it!

I'm just brewing up a Wherry kit I got for christmas with some cascade. :thumb:

Got the recipe out of the IPA book by Mitch Steele. Here's my interpretation.

Blimey! Good luck, just a brewferm diabolo tomorrow for me. Nothing difficult, just swapping golden syrup for sugar. Happy brewing.

I think your recipe may be removed, you shouldn't post copyrighted recipes from books on here! That looks awesome though, such a ridiculous amount of hopping

Removed. Wasn't aware of any issues.

The recipe is freely available via google.

Never brewed anything before but finally going to get started on the Brewferm Gold that I got at Christmas. Went to shop last weekend and bought the Belgium Candied sugar. Pretty sure I have everything I need now to get underway.

I was originally going to have a crack at a bitter, but SWMBO thinks I've done enough beer-related stuff this week (moving a cider & a dunkel into conditioning & making celery wine) so i'm under orders to spend a bit of quality time with her. :D

(where's the emoticon for under the thumb?!)

Hi just brewing an extract IPA in my Burco- just added Citra hops to finish for last 15 mins. Smells fantastic.
Anybody any views on cooling wort down to pitching temp using 2kg bags of ice cubes ?
tried this a couple of times with no adverse reactions..
cheers
Ian

I might brew on Sunday, I was looking to put on something simple and pale for my bro's stag doo/weekend away at the end of March, got a few kgs of lager malt, plenty of hops and some s04 should do the trick. I'll see if I can be arsed doing a Mash tomorrow night and report back.got the Thistle game tomorrow, another defeat so will probably be in my bed at 6pm in a bad mood and won't brew!

Awesome. Lots going on around the country.

In addition to my other brews I'm knocking up, I'm transferring last weeks brews over to 2ndary and adding dry hops. I'll harvest the yeast and rinse it, etc.

Busy boy.

Have family commitments this weekend so not much spare time. Hoping to have half hour spare to sort through the empty bottle store, get a batch of bottles out for the st.peters stout thats in the fv, also reccy up my empty wine bottles so i can plan my next wine batches.

I'll be brewing my Hobblin' Goblin for the Spring Thing tomorrow. Then I have a list of other stuff to do that I have been putting off. The weekend just isn't long enough! :hmm:

Yep!
It's about 30 Celsius here at the moment, so perfect for a saison. Not sure how to export it from Beersmith so here's a screenshot...

It's a bit strong according to the recipe but I doubt I'll hit that efficiency; we'll see.

I also just threw together an apple and acerola WOW to see how that will turn out :hmm:

(it was cartons of both juices mixed already, not something I came up with... )
