Whole Grain by the Kilo, Decent Postage?

Hi knowledgeable ones

I’m looking at getting some interesting grains into my Maris Otter-base pale ales (I’m a bit sick of crystal). I treated myself to a mill when I moved onto BIAB so figure I might as well crush it fresh.
So:
  • what would you add to an APA/IPA?
  • Any suggestions of places to buy whole grain in small-ish quantities and not pay as much in postage?
Thinking maybe Munch, Vienna, rye?

Oh, next brews will be hopped with El Dorado, Enigma and what’s left of my Citra and Mosaic cones so anything to compliment them wouldn’t hurt!

I like 15% munich and 7.5% malted wheat in my pale ales, currently using golden promise as a base malt. I've also swapped the munich to 30% vienna which was good and pretty similar.
 
I actually went ahead and ordered in some Munich II, Vienna and rye and wheat malt. Great minds. I also chucked in some centennial and chinook... and some crystal, make the most of the postage, I ordered from get ‘er brewed.

On a podcast I was listening to they said a few places confirmed that vienna was a blend of munich and pilsner malt. I've got no idea what ration but you could probably work it out from the SRM.

I find my local hbs is good he has a website www.happybrewer.co.uk he might be worth a try
 
I get all my grains, and pretty much everything else these days, through the Malt Miller. I've had excellent service, top-quality ingredients, and a reasonably-priced delivery service (with accurate time-slots if its via DPD). I've had cheaper prices elsewhere, but sometimes at the cost of quality, I've felt.
As to other grains, well I regularly use:
Crisp Caragold (adds little colour, but a definite but subtle more "malty" taste)
Fawcett Pale Crystal (adds more colour, and a definite maltiness with more mouthfeel, without overpowering the pale base malts)
Apart from these regulars, then I might go to Vienna or Munich malts for a different style of pale ale. For darker beers it's up to you - all the way from pale chocolate through to black malt or roasted barley. They all have their own character - entirely up to you to experiment & see what you like.
