I have not brewed since December 27th or whenever my double brew day was. I am finally firing up the brewery this weekend. I plan to make my house Cascade Pale Ale Saturday morning. It will only be the second time I have dipped into my 2010 Cascade crop.

Who else is brewing and what do you have planned?

I`m hoping to finish my decorating and get an Abbot Ale clone for my Dad on on Sunday, will do a 40litre brewlength(half each  )

i like filling the bottles and sealing the lids then thinking about drinking it in a few weeks time, i feckin dispise the sanitising , especially once youve filled all your bottles and put them in storage, you just feel like having a beer, then u realise youve got 2 fv's caked in ****, a syphon, tubing n stuff to clean.ive got a bit lazy now though, i give then fv a rinse to get all of the crap from the bottom, fire in a good bit of sterilising powder and fill up and leave in the bath for 2 days, then when i can be arsed emptying them i do that! is it wrong that i got sort of excited when i was cleaning out my cornies, i got butterflies in my large stomach before adding my brew!

I'm all set for a Belgian Tripel tomorrow morning. I've not done a Belgian before so really looking forward to it.

D, Belgian tripels would probably be my desert island beer. I love making and drinking those. What's your recipe?

I'll post it tomorrow morning Baz, its on my other PC - which is off. I'm using WLP500 for this one which appears to get some decent reviews.

I've not used White Labs before. I've only ever used Wyeast 3787 which is supposed to be the original Westmalle strain. My tripel is based on theirs; just Belgian Pilsner malt and sugar

Lucky you Keith!

Rob does WL on next day delivery so its easy to get a hold of. I am just throwing one out there after a bit of investigation. It has a load of wheat malt, vienna and sugar. Still its going to be 8.3abv ;)

Sounds like it will be a tasty beer. You just can't go wrong with tripels. Well, Belgian beers in general. I've got another couple of weeks of cold conditioning on my dubbel and I'll bottle that. I need to get my Golden Strong brewed so it's ready in a year!

Brewing today, a best bitter with Marris Otter, amber, crystal and chocolate malt and with Fuggles and Styrian Golding. The Brewlab Thames Valley 3 is bubbling nicely. Must go and heat up the mashing water.

Hopefully a partial mash version of Timothy Taylor, if my local HB shop has all the bits and bobs i need. Need to get my TC bottled too......

Bottling for me, I think, with the belgian yeast weizenbock experiment and TTL having done some time in secondary. Might try and test the small mash tun's new filter on Sunday but probably won't have time.

I think that is the Chimay yeast and I seem to remember being advised to watch the fermentation temp with that one as it can go crazy on banana. Chimay pitch at 20 and let it rise to 27-28 over 4 days according to brew like a monk. I'm planning a single and a tripel with wyeast 3787.

bottling for me too. I'd love to brew but all the cornies are still full and Iam short on bottles! Not a bad thing tho.

First use of new kit this weekend, aiming to do an oatmeal stout as it seems a fairly forgiving style....

I'm kegging 40ltrs and bottling 30ltrs of the SNPA clone-ish I did the week before last.

Then I need to get some of the fruit used up in my freezer, so going to start a few country wines. Also if I get time going to do MrG's Tropicana Tropical juice WOW
