Hi,
Im new to using fruit juices for making wine as ive normally used the kits.
Here is the white wine i am currently brewing:
2l White Grape Juice Pure Pressed from Tesco
1l Sun Grown Pure Apple Juice from concentrate
577g Household sugar
1 tsp Pectic Enzyme
Yeast and Nutrient
Disolved Sugar with 0.5l of water and allow to cool.
Added syrup and juice to bucket, and added pectic enzyme, yeast and nutrient.
Made it up to 4 litres
O.G 1090 on the 27/12/2010
Ive checked it again today and the gravity was 1035, ive topped it up to 1 gallon
I would have thought that the gravity would have been lower so im hoping it hasnt stopped fermenting.
Has anyone done these wines and knows how long it should take?
When/If this turns out ok, I was thinking about doing a few more batches but with small added ingredient such as raisins, strawberries etc.
Any criticism is very welcome.
thanks
Paul
