Just wondering what's the difference between these two have always just used Whirlfloc just wondering what pros and cons are of each and if one is better than the other

I use neither...but do use a tsp of Irish moss for the last 10mins with the boil.

Sneaky half pint carbonation taster SMaSH beer with no dry hop below (2 weeks from grain to glass).

I've used all 3 and never really cared what they actually were other than knowing Irish Moss is a seaweed. The only bit that interested me was if they worked and as i still use whichever one is cheapest at the time of purchase I can confirm that they all seem to do the same job just as well as each other.

I used Irish Moss years ago before changing to Protofloc, which is Irish Moss but in a finely ground, pelletised form which offers a greater surface area/ solubility and therefore effectiveness.... apparently. I honestly can't remember if plain ol' Irish Moss was inferior or not but I've stuck to the Protofloc ever since.
