Which ball valve?

Im based in the Uk and im struggling to source a stainless steel ball valve.

Ill be either using a complete brass tap or a ball valve with brass fittings if i cant source one.

Anyone got a link to one?

If theres one with a barb on the end even better as my hand pump arrived today.

NTP mates with BSP ok i got some (after the usual few weeks wait) and used em with the 1/2" bsp fittings i got thru bes.co.uk (ptfe tape too)

you can buy any of the above one and two piece taps in any DIY store in the plumbing section...B&Q, Wickes ,Screwfix...they are standard common on off taps.
However you get what you pay for.

Ok ordered some and a few things from BES, didn't notice i could use the buffalo guide for adding a tap.

The three piece tap, bulkhead and washer that I sell cost £36.60 delivered. Exactly the same kit from BES costs £29.08. However, you can get brewing supplies from BES which is why brewers tend to buy from me. I don't sell a tap for £50.

the bulkhead is also a lot easier to fit then an arrangement of nipples washers and locknuts, all of which you will probably end up buying more than u need of due to packaging.

I cant believe I bought three from the home-brew builder on ebay at about £15 a piece and there are some cheaper..

cheaper yes, but a wait for delivery and zero customer service, while i have been lucky for the most part with most of my ebay china punts i have had dodgy buys too SS threads full of black solid gunk not cleaned off properly after working?? buying from the maltmiller and mrlard and the like you benefiting from Good customer service and knwoledge that the bits you get will all fit n work nicely together.. so depends on how long u want to wait and how much of a punt u want to take..
With the local chaps customer service is an email/phonechat away.. i went the diy route and have spare SS washers nipples and nuts as not all are the same...
£ for £ Robs 3 bit valve and bulkhead isnt at a bad price point at all and will arrive a hell of a lot quicker too

I gotta say from a personal pov (not admin) using internet forums, you have to be careful what you post as it can have detrimental affects for sellers, which can be very unfair.
Malt Millers taps/combos are very well priced, most retailers would be looking for a much greater mark up that Rob's charging.

And though BES offer great service not all there items are that great, notably the 1/2" lock nuts that a lot of folk have had problems with :?

I was going to order the tap, and all my grains together but spent half my budget on getting the beer engine and the boiler.

Ive removed the comment in my original post, malt miller is amazingly priced especially with the boilers with taps already installed which is what i was going for, however they were out of stock and i had to improvise. I however did order all my grains + Malts + hops from them.

Stainless, or brass? Brass ball valves are aimed at hot water systems, with max op temps of 60 to 70c (but many homebrewers - myself included - use them in their boilers with no probs)

But probably as well to do as Rob suggests, and buy from the Malt Miller, along with grains, hops, etc, to spread the delivery charge over multiple items.
