Wherry question

Now I'm not saying I'm going to do this I just wanted to gauge people's opinions on it. Would it make a negative or a positive outcome to a wherry kit if I added 500g of light DME to it to give it a little boost ?

I added 250g to my last werry with some ekg dry hopped its only been in the barrel 2 days so too early to tell but the test sample tastes good for a very young brew.

Go for it what's the worst that can happen

That's what I would normally do. I have LME bought cheap from Amazon so will probably add 2 jars of that (680g total, about the same as 500g DME) instead.

Perfect, I had 500g left over from the partial I did on Wednesday night so it'll be good to put it to use, I also have a little hops left over, not allot though maybe only 10g so I might make a hop tea to add, should I dissolve the DME in some water in the pan and boil the hops for an hour or is there another way I could do it as its such a small amount

dont boil them for an hour, just boil them for 10 mins to give some freshness back to the kit, itll just help the aroma and not add to bitterness that way.
