Think Morrison's sell it frozen in with the polish bits or you could use butter nut sqush
 
ah! all great resources, google and a trip to morrisons didnt throw up much - but I will check them on my travels. i knew the Libby's stuff existed but because it's an american thing (much like Oreos and Reese's were) it was about £4 a can last year! nice to see it so cheap now. thanks chaps.
 
just seen libbys tinned pumpkin 425g in my local aldi for 89p if your still after some it might be worth a look
 
If you have one, your local Asian large retailer, they will sell all kinds of gourds and squash, failing that a trip to your local allotment should yield one...though they'll be sweeter next month :cool:
