Hi all,
Hoping I might be able to get some advice on this topic...I've made quite a few kits down the years and have started recently to tweak and adjust them to get a more bespoke brew. I had a good result recently with a Mangrove Jacks berliner weisse kit which I fruited up with rhubarb. This gave me some inspiration to try and create a gose-type brew, this time starting with a Coopers wheat kit.
I'd be interested to hear if anyone has tried this approach before and how it went? Regarding salt addition, I'm seeing ~1g per litre typically being mentioned, would anyone have experience of whether this will give a definite salty twist or if more would be required?
Finally, I'm thinking of splitting the batch and perhaps fruiting up one half with raspberries - guessing this would be best done towards the end of fermentation?
Many thanks in advance for any tips!
Neil.
