gracheers,

couple of questions for the experts.

1. I mixed the coopers wheat beer kit with 500g muntons wheat malt and 300g of ordinary sugar. usued the safbrew WB-06 yeast as well. The OG was onloy 1034 so I added 100g more sugar and this increased the OG to 1039. Was this the right thing to do?

2. My gravity readings over the last few days have started to level off and am currently at 1008 so getting near bottling time. I've noticed when taking the readings that there appears to be a lot of bubbles - i use the tube and hydrometer supplied by coopers. is this normal.

I suppose i'm slightly concerned that when I prime my bottles that I put too much sugar in. yes i'm priming each bottle as I don't have another container yet for batch priming. most of my bottles are 300ml so I was going to use 1/2 a teaspoon. does this sound reasonable.? I like my beer fizzy.

if anyone has any other suggestions for priming let me know.

thanks

How did this turn out? Have you refined the recepie since?
