Evening, still new to this so bear with me,have just done a Coopers Wheat beer kit(are there any better ones ? :D

Followed the instructions down to the letter and all went well.
Day 1 (saturday) Mixed the 500g of light spray malt and 300g of sugar with hot water added the can topped up with cold water to the right temp 22degrees,took barometer reading 1035 added the yeast, all well.
Day 2 Got up and noticed the fermentation had gone mad over night, remnants of which could clearly be seen well over half way up the Krausen collar.
Day 3 Slight bubbling but nothing to write home about.Temp constant at 22 degrees.
Day 4,today. All fermentation and action stopped ? Barometer reading 1010. Have I done anything wrong? All seemed over really quickly and low alcohol content. Beer smells and tastes OK,very lively when testing in the Barometer tube.
Would love to know if I've done something wrong or that's just how it should be.
Thanks in advance and any of your help very much appreciated. :D

hi , to get a better wheat beer if i was you i would order some dried wheat malt extract 2kg as well as dried light malt extract 1.5kg and some safbrew wb-06 wheat beer yeast and no kit and dry hop with Hallertauer Mittelfrueh it should have an gravity of around 1056 and finish at around 1013 giving you approx 5.7% vol you can buy DME in 3kg bags that work out cheaper (around £13) This will give much better results than kits (they seem to be poor for wheat beers)

Incase your not sure how to brew this way what you do is get a large pan and warm up some water (around 1/2 full ) and add your malt extract stirring well then bring it to the boil , beware of boil over (as soon as you stop stirring it will go everywhere ). strong simmer/light boil for around 5 mins then chuck into your fermenting vessel and add cold water to make up for a total of 23 litres/5 gallon. stir well splashing making lots of bubbles till nice and foamy
check temp and when around 20oC take a hydrometer reading then add yeast (just sprinkle on top of wort , job done , now after around 4 days use a sterilized muslin bag(hop bag around 50p) and add around 50g of hops to vessel and leave for around 4 to 5 days with a total of approx 8 days minimum fermenting.Do a hydrometer reading at this stage for 2 days running if around 1013 and not dropping then bottle and prime , leave in room temp for around 2 weeks and condition in cold for around 2 to 4 weeks and drink away .

This will piss on kit beer , hope this is some help and p.s partial mash is only a little harder than this but again better beer

Be interested to find out where you've seen due at that price for that quantity?! Can't see it online in a quick search... Fancy giving your recipe a go at some point (wanna finish off these kits I got first, then will try an extract brew)...

TIA
