Reet then....

I am neither old :nono: :nono:

And I am definately not stout :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:

I am in fact, slim, fit as, and rather good looking - and I'm not kidding ;)

....oh, and modest

I have another 'old' style username on a different unrelated forum, and when I first signed up on here - under the influence of one of my first Black brews - I put the 'stout' after taking another glug. Simple as.

When I wa' t'lad, we yung'uns used to e-socialise on MSN Messenger. In those days, none of the cool kids used their real names for the 'Display Name' sections.

Some put their names as a lyric to a song that they were listening to at the time. Others chose a quote they particularly liked.

I was left trying to find a display name one evening, so I found a random display name generator online. One clicked three buttons, each of which generated a word.

My three buttons flashed up with:

Hypnotic

Monkey

Conspiracy

And so for the best part of a decade I have been known as Hypnotic Monkey Conspiracy, Hypnotic Monkey or @hypnotic whilst online!

I'm not really a fully-qualified lager lout in real life, but lager is usually my tipple and this was the first way i thought of incorporating it into a user name

Real name Paul

HypnoticMonkey - you made me laugh there, as that was exactly the same method that led to me naming my college band... Wildebeast Passion Museum

My names Jay. :thumb:

Brizzle is a bit of a mock name of the fair city i was brought up in, by a bunch of friggin scousers incidently .

The CiderArmy bit has a bit of a double barreled meaning. Growing up me and my mates developed a bit of a taste for cider, as you do in Bristol. We used to hang about down the old sports center getting wrecked on the stuff. As i grew older and more clued up, i realized the **** we drank wasn't cider just gut-rot. we were the local cider army.

Coupled with my love for the best football club on the planet, the mighty Bristol City! Years back we used to shout out "Danny Wilson's cider army" from the Dolman. When Gary Johnson was steering the ship it was "Gary Johnson's cider army! from the east end". good times.

Mine comes from my motorbike forums, I'm mad about motorbikes, hence motomaniac.

Having reached a certain age, when I was choosing a name for this forum I was going through a difficult period........ Don't laugh... Hopefully you will be the same one day. It will probably will get worse and mean a swop round with the name..... :nono: :nono:

Mine is short for FatBoySlimFast - a moniker I've used online for at least a dozen years, probably more. It came about partially due to my weight fluctuating between 14.5 and 16 stone regularly, but also due to the Norman Cook alter ego, which I was (and still am) a fan of.

I guess you must also be showing signs of the next stage in human evolution :D
Not that I'm saying that peeps with a full head of hair are fick or anyfing  ;)

Hahaha! tis true, I'm folically challenged! the kids asked me when I started to lose my hair, I said " the day I married your mother" ;)
Sadly the only hair that grows these days is out me ears and nose
The joys of ageing, I turned 44 in June and I was soldering a 4din plug for my pt100 probe the other day and I thought "god I cant see this!" only when I tried some +1 reading specs I realised I hadn't seen my fingerprints for a long time!
Sorry going off piste here my real name is Simon.
have a good weekend all.

My real names Chris...

I wanted Cononthebarbarian when I signed up for something online many moons ago (as I had recently watched the film for the first time and thought it was ace) but it was too long so I had to shorten it, so it became Cononthebarber...and yes I realise that Conon should really be Conan however I was a bit silly and spelt it wrong!

Quite like it now though :)
