Hmmmm . . . Thats a lot of bread from my last brew day

We fed it to the cows. . . . . and the grain from my brew days acts as compost on the garden during the summer and horse feed during the winter

I use it to instigate deep discussion with refuse collectors. They will argue it's garden waste and will not take it, I am generally in the food waste camp and they are.

I live in a house on a hill with no road access and no garden. :|

I had considered spent grain bread and would like to give it a go but just seem to run out of time. It therefore gets chucked onto the garden which has worked wonders on the veg patch.

As long as its well boiled you can use it in your groundbait, ideal for carp bream and tench!!

However if your not a fisherman, this may all sound pointless!

On the allotment for me, though have to dig it in so the pigeons can't see it. Alternatively, let it ferment until it stinks rotten and then spread it on the top soil...little feathery buggers swoop on it and get quite a shock  ....don't tend to bother with your seeds then for a while :P

Aleman you're cheating with your pints brewed to date

How cheating? It's not my fault I went round a mates for the weekend and made a bit of beer on his 18BBL plant

Must admit I'd be tempted to put the grain out for the pigeons and then sit in wait with an air rifle

Marris Otter fed Wood Pigeon... Does have a kind of ring to it! :thumb:

Chicken Feed.

My neighbour had some chickens (until the fox had them) and they loved it!!!

A word of warning for those of you putting the stuff in your composter. The mice love it ;)

Which aint so much of a problem until the 8uggers start to feel the cold and move into the house

.......Which aint too much of a problem (sorted with a couple of "little nippers" )........But what's gonna happen when the RATS....which have currently set up home near the compost bin...decide that the weather's too inclement :hmm:

....and WTF will happen to my beer making equipment when the missus realises what it was in the first place that enticed the RATS to Oggy's bar and Mrs Oggy's bar's kitchen..
