When your not sampling your fine home brew or like something with a bit more kick ,what spirit do you like to part take in ?

I'm not much of a spirit fan really but i do enjoy my vodka (either with coke or even the cheap red bull if i feel like partying ) I also enjoy a shot of samboca (prob spelt wrong) but get toooo pissed on it ;) i also like southern comfort and when i was younger i liked many but partied too much and the smell makes me poorly lol (too much to young) My mrs has gotten me into wine these days too and that gets me well on the way (i can drink beer all night ish  )

how about you ?

I like rum rather a lot. Mountgay if I can't afford something a bit special.
I generally get myself a bottle of Pusser's for my birthday.
The 10yr old XM Royal is nice.
There's a huge range out there to sample. I like the golden lightly spiced ones, mainly.
There are a few whiskies I like - had a nice bottle of Jura over christmas.
And Jim Beam.

I like Single Malt, and have quite a good collection of it. The only other thing I am partial to is a G&T. It's got to be good though, Hendricks Gin or Bombay Sapphire.

Cheap, blended Scotch drowned with dry ginger or Irn Bru.

If I'm abroad, or we have a hot Summer at home, pastis / anisette / ouzo / raki + lemonade.

But mostly:

Ditto. Favourites would include Macallan, Talisker, Highland Park, Scapa, Balvenie, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain and Caol Ila, served neat, with a thimbleful of water, or occasionally mixed 2:1 with Drambuie.

for me its got to be Gin, Gin and Gin

I like vodka &coke or red bull (type)
Brandy ,Dark rum and blackcurrant im quite into jagerbombs at the moment

:D Lagavulin :thumb: their 16 y/o 'standard' bottling @ 43% :D

or as a treat their 12 y/o cask strength

but you wouldn't find me refusing either :nono: there's always a nice stock of both in the bottom of the wardrobe :thumb:

..... and one of each open in the drinks cabinet :!:

i didn't think anyone like raki , went to crete last year everyone was trying to give me that after a lovely meal  but i liked the blue ouzo (think it was ouzo) :?

I love Koskenkorva with some sparkling water, ice and a dash of lemon juice. Other than that a nice Amaro (montenegro) is always ideal after a big meal!

None in particular and usually steer well clear of them. I was partial to a bit of rakija on my visit to Serbia last year and it was surprisingly ok, though - a small ice-cold shot drunk slowly together with a glass of cold water.

Same for me.

I dont have any spirits in the house and always just stick to Guinness if im out.

Only have to sniff a double JD and its a two day hangover

For me, the usual is cheap blended whiskey with coke.

I used to drink vodka, but for about five years the missus has banned me because I'm an animal on it. I became so nasty, shouting obscenities with fists flying everywhere. The strange thing about this is that it only happened when I was asleep :wha: .

10 year old Old Fettercairn single malt was an absolute treat when a friend brought it back from Scotland a few years ago. This is now no longer available for him to buy due to the rising Japanese demand :( .

Walter Hicks 125 Navy Rum bottled by my local St Austell Brewery is a drink that I have drunk on only a couple of occasions. Its the strongest bottled rum available in the UK with an ABV of 71.4% :drunk: .

BB :drink:

Single malts for me, highland and speysides are my big love but like most. Some of the Islay's I'm not so keen on but will drink one if my arm's twisted. I also like Brandy but it doesn't like me.

Islay malts preferably lagvulen but it is never on offer so usually a laphroig. Also like taskler.

However I don't like rum brandy or aguadente (water with teeth distilled in hell by the devil himself)
