Wanting to try a Festival kit as they get really good reviews, although not sure which one!

If i was buying some bottles to drink in my local supermarket, i'd probably go for things like:

Old speckled hen
Abbot Ale
Spitfire
Bishops finger
Coniston Bluebird
Hobgoblin
Ruddles county
Old Peculiar

So based on these what kit would people reccommend ?

Also if you've brewed any of the kits, what commercial ale would you compare it to?

Thanks

that's a wide range. is there any beer you REALLY like? you can always push it in the direction of a certain beer by adding an ingredient or two...

hmm maybe as thats such a wide range i could just pick any kit! (except porter  )

Its years since i homebrewed and i still have a memory of that odd homebrew taste to all the basic bitter kits i brewed. I think this is putting me off the Landlord kit!

Think i'll go for the Stag, pilgrims hope or razorback as never brewed a lighter coloured 'summer' ale
