Just trying the Love Brewing Chinook, well needed after a spot of gardening. Turned out nice, clear and enjoyable keeping it at a temperature is difficult without a Kegerator, used some ice packs leftover from Gusto, did the trick.

Just had my last pint of Mangrove Jacks Juicy session IPA. Last pint was just as lovely as the first pint. Kicking off my back garden BBQ season. I usually BBQ from the front of my house from the garage during the winter.

Im supping Coopers Mexican Ceveza with citra hops. Ive been doing kit brews for about 10 months and i always read good and bad reviews but i must say that its the best kit ive brewed and its the 5th one i have done. I have finely learned time in the fv is the essence.
just ordered one, whats the best tip? leave it in the FV longer?

I'm drinking a Coopers English Bitter, made some months back with 1 kg medium DME and the kit yeast.

There is nothing wrong with it per se, but on the basis of this I'm not in any great hurry to make another coopers kit. It has quite a pronounced dark grain flavour but otherwise is a bit thin tasting and astringent. Odd. I keep trying a bottle every now and again in the hope they will improve but I suspect it is just not for me. Other people seem to think it's great. I much prefer the Muntons bitters I have made, all of which I've enjoyed.

The Coopers Canadian Blonde kit is very good. I make it with light DME, and I dry hop it with Citra and Moaic hops. It’s a lovely summer beer.

How much hops do you add ? I must try dry hopping.
I buy hop tea bags. So one Citra and one mosaic hop tea bag. 30g of hops in each. I put them into a large mug which I have sanitised first and pour in boiled water from the kettle and leave to sit for 10-15 minutes before adding them to the fermentation bucket including the hop tea. I leave it in the beer for 4-5 days. It adds a lovely subtle flavour to the beer, not overly hoppy, but you can notice the difference.

Great, that's my next job.

Doesn’t pouring boiling water over the tea bags and leaving them for fifteen minutes alter the bitterness?
