what is the best beer you have ever tasted?

i was going to answer the OPs question in a certain way but i think im really answering : what was your most memorable pint or what would be your perfect pint ?

mine would have to be Exmoor Gold with TT Landlord a close second

Back in the day my favourite was Hartleys Best Bitter which was brewed in my town until 1991 when it closed after 250 years of brewing, a cracking pint (depending on how the cellar was kept)

I've sometimes thought my own beers are right up there! This summer I went into a pub in Whitby, early at lunch time. The Timothy Taylors Landlord was as good as it gets. Funny, I think the bottled tastes like something from the olde days but the draught is a different beast.

Always a difficult one. But i can go along with this vote. my 19yo self, on a residential geography trip at Brathay field study centre , Ambleside certainly has a good memory of Hartleys
Or would it be a 1990's pint of Cameron's best in The Buck at Thornton Dale......

Most memorably enjoyable beer - a pint (swiftly followed by a second) of Fullers ESB in the Bath Ale House in Cambridge. One of my favourite beers in one of my favourite pubs with my favourite people and the beer was absolutely spot on that night. Even at the time, I knew it was something to be remembered.
Never had as good a draught pint as that again, and the pub was shortly thereafter gutted and turned into a trendy wine bar.
Nostalgia, eh?

TT Landlord - Really refreshing half way through a bike ride or walk . Thinking about it the second pint usually tastes better.

I've had so many beers over the years that I'd find it hard to single out one. It's a seasonal thing as well. An ice cold Stella on a hot summer evening still gives a lot of pleasure but lager is not my main drink.

I love a Belgian Quad in the winter months with Rochefort 10 being my go to beer in that instance. I've yet to try a Westvleteren 12 but would love to one day. I feel that I really do need to make a pilgrimage to the monastery for this one and get my own crate of beer from the monks rather than getting one of the Internet at and over inflated price that is lining someone else's pockets.

At the moment I loving the IPAs and there's so much to try. I personally think the Vocation Life and Death that you can get 8 cans of for £9 in Tesco is an absolute cracker.

Westvleteren 12, Staffre Hendrick Quadrupel Oak Aged, La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged (guess everyone can guess now my favourite style), Founders KBS (Imperial Stout), Sierra Nevada Torpedo (IPA) and, here from Brazil, Oceanica Deep Red (Barleywine wood aged).

Once upon a time i loved old speckled hen until the night i had a gallon & a half of it.
More recently glorious beers, would include Old dairy brewery Uber brew, Salopian Lemon dream & Crouch vale Brewers gold, Had one called Single Hop at the Kentish beer festival a couple of weeks back that was rather good as well.
A lot depends on the pub where it is served.

Probably a recent wheat beer I made. Fermented with the wyeast Bavarian wheat strain. So good it’s getting brewed again in a couple of weeks!

The one that sticks in the mind is.Firestone Walker Parabola, i can't remember which year. I bought to for an obscene price - one to keep and one to try. The one i tried played on my mind so much (in a good way) that i was into the other one a month later.
