Simple question - What is double hopped beer? How do you do it?

I bloody love hoppy beer. I'm new to the real ale game, and even newer to the home brewing game, but i bloody well bloody love hoppy pale ales! Had a few bottles of Brewdog beers tonight and they are amazing. (to my taste anyway)

I do kits, can i double hop a kit? I am going to dry hop my next one. please explain what double hopped means.

Cheers!

To be honest I am not sure, AFAIAA it is just a term that really means bugger all other than the beer has had 2 hop additions a bittering addition and a late flavouring aroma addition.

If you want to do brewdog style beers you will need to boil your kit beer with additional hops, for bittering, a late hop addition possibly a dry hop addition in the fermenter, and also a dry hop addition or two in a secondary fermenter/keg.

Hope this helps

Thanks. I was under the influence of hoppy beer when i wrote that post.

What is AFAIAA?

I was planning on dry hopping my kit in a secondary fermentation bucket for a week or so before i put it in the keg. I don't think i have the facility to boil my kits
