I'm beginging to think they are all naff.In four years had a Dyson. Use to be good until they went to China. Vax lasted a year and couldn't stand it any more broken belt twice and lost suction. Now had a hoover which i find i keep bending down and picking up bits of fluff that surely it should pick up.

Thinking of trying a Henry. Anyone any experiance of them. A lot of builders have them so they can't be that bad.

Help.

I don't have one, the wife has a Dyson. We have a Henry at work and the cleaner hates it.

We've got a Dyson from before manufacturing went overseas, it's OK but the filters need washing and it's getting harder to get replacements.
I know a lot of peeps swear by (not at) their Henry though.

Dyson :thumb:

they provided all sorts of parts for free when ours failed, and it's not missed a beat since then.

I put some new non-dyson filters in it recently from ebay and the suction is fearsome! It can be a good workout pushing it around!!

we have two dysons at home - an upstairs dyson and a downstairs dyson because thats how we roll! they're pre-china ones though and still going strong. at work (on a working farm) we have a henry and its great - handles everything from dust to cow muck!

We have a Dyson, it's about 8-10 years old but going strong, and it's picked up a lot of s**t when we have been decorating :thumb:

My mothers Henry has lasted for years and still working strong. Has to be close to 10 years old now. There is a draper Hoover available with a power tool auto switch just I case you have any sanding or DIY to do as well, I had one rigged up to my festool orbital and it gave trouble free daily use for three years until I stopped making furniture, in a household it would be relatively light duty compared to what I put it through!

Had a samsung upright for 3 years now and the only thing that's ever gone wrong is the rotating brush got snagged on a mat and snapped the belt. Was told in the spares shop to keep the filters clean and would last a long time, only downside is the tool hose is a bit short.

Another Henry here. Bought it after a couple of expensive/disappointing Dyson failures. Had it for many years trouble-free (so far).

I have a Vax steamer and hoover. Both 7 months old. Both broke this week. Steamer broken no user part to replace, only a 6 month warranty!! Vacuum has taken 5 belts so far since purchase. Good when it works but otherwise very noisy and breaks just when you need it.

Had a Henry at the pub, used very day on a large pub up and down stairs.. no problems in 4 years...

It also has a face.. which is nice.

most office cleaning companys us henry's ....

but i like the sound of glenns best ... :thumb:

regards mick... :hat: .

my family had a cleaning business (new house builds) we used a henry without bags just the top filter , it would run for 2-3 hours a day 6 days a week for 3 years .when we folded the business and i think its still working after another 10 years of home use. cant beat that for just over £100. it even fell down a flight of stairs and was still running it got to the bottom

i have been given dysons over the years(second hand) they are cr*p and vax sucks(not in a good way)

Got a purple Dyson DC25..... It's a ******* tho if your using the extendable wand, as hard as you pull it out it's fighting you to retract...

As said in earlier posts... Dysons were good before the grabbing ******* of an owner moved most if not all to China or wherever it is nowadays!!

Wouldn't buy another and this is our third in around 18 years.. DC01 was the best.. :thumb:
