What can I make with 1 3/4 lb of gooseberries?

Don't seem to have enough for wine in the cjj berry book. I was looking at a recipe using sultanas too but I didn't like how the recipe went. If I have no joy on here I will have to make a gooseberry crumble!

Usual deal is 3lb (ish) of fruit to the gallon. Got any other berries/currants you could chuck in with the goosegogs?

My gooseberry bush mysteriously did 0 fruit this year.

Personally I'd be tempted to go for the crumble and make wine from something else

maybe add another fruit to make the weight

a quick search on google "gooseberry and" gives results for
gooseberry and strawberry
gooseberry and raspberry
gooseberry and apple (maybe a nice TC hybrid)

will all be good match for your wine

I would say you got half the weight for a gallon maybe use the black currents from your allotment

if you don't try you will never know :thumb:
