Returning from a XMAS break I tried my Muntons Santa Winter Warmer, of which there are about 5 pints left in the King Keg; very nice indeed.
I then tried my Muntons Old Conkerwood Black Ale, which I just siphoned into the (new) King Keg before XMAS and it was hardly gassed up. I gassed it and it seems to retain its gas for about an hour or two. It doesn't seem off/stale (it tastes good but not as lively as the other one me thinks), but I know I should do something, so what should I do:
1. Poor the conkerwood away and investigate the problem?
2. Get the winter warmer down my neck tonight, and use that kegs top cap to see if the top cap is causing the problem and I can rescue it?
3. Get the winter warmer down my neck tonight, sterilise the keg it's in and transfer the Conkerwood into that to see if I can rescue it that way (in case the problem is with the tap?)
What would you do?
Cheers
