Brewing in a bag ,in Northampton
i have just checked the brewing store [bottom of my wardrobe]

and i have left over
4kg of marris otter
and 1kg of crystal malt..

on my ist brew [snpa] i used

4kg.. mo
500g pale malt
500g crystal

so how would the brew be,
with 4kg m/o and 1kg of crystal...

should i get more grains or just try this and see.. :wha:

There's a recipe for Fullers London Pride in Graham Wheelers British Real Ales page 158 which would fit the bill. Let me know if you haven't got the book and I'll type it in, it'll take a little time as I have my left hand little finger in a stall as I broke it last week.

could do a old speckled hen type thing, get some golden syrup or brown sugar, or like you said could try honey instead

Id use around 400g of the crystal and all the other ingredients myself

Moderately strong and dry. That puts my thoughts close to something Belgian. ;)

I did a leftovers brew New years eve... Been told it was the nicest beer ever by my brother in law so am gutted I didn't recall the recipe. Is similar to what you have grain wise.
Something like...
4600g Maris Otter and 200g Crystal

40g Nugget and 20g Citra at 60mins
40g Willamette and 20g Citra at 15mins
10g Citra dry hop in the FV for the whole 14 days in primary.

Yeasted with Butty Bach yeast reclaimed from a bottle from Asda.
Pale and dangerously drinkable but at 3.7 that wasn't an issue.http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=35639
