Back on the Fruit Punch again - fabulous stuff.

I'm chilling, doing some web design work for a client, listening to Spotify and preparing myself for starting some Beetroot Wine and Some Ginger Wine over the weekend as well as possibly racking my mead and bottling my last batch of fruit punch (Summer Fruits) which is still bubbling away a week on from starting it which is a record length from the usual four to five days fermenting time I've had (I whacked some extra sugar into this batch see what it would be like).

See you in casualty!!!!

to start:

we'll wheat again

followed by hoppy little devil carb tester bottle ;-)

then a lindemans cuvee kriek (or summit like that as the other half disposed of bottle pretty sharpish!)

finally .........

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I've had a bottle of Bunglebrewsbeer's Citra ale, and it was lovely. Cheers Bungle!

And also a bottle of my mates pale ale, also good. I got him brewing a couple of years ago. Went straight into AG. :thumb:

So with friends like your's you never need to pay for alcohol ever again? Cool!

Strawberry & Kiwi Barley Punch (3.4%) and Peach & Barley Summer Punch (5.3%) on the agenda tonight and it's gone done really nicely.

My wife and I have finally cracked what the Peach one reminds us of - that staple clubbers drink of the late 1980's 'The Blastaway' (Castaway and Diamond White Cider).

So I'm now bopping away to Wham! and Duran Duran and wearing pixie boots and luminous green socks for the first time since 1984.

It actually inspired a really enjoyable discussion of drinks we used to drink and pubs we used to frequent in the 1980's (well me mainly because my wife is ten years younger than me and wasn't born until the late 1970's).

AHHH!,the 80's!, twas a time of much drinking and pool playing for a pint merriment! (and nearly getting killed for it,on many more than one occasion),whilst sauntering around in a pink pastel cardigan, lime green Lacoste polo shirt, speckled drainpipes, and light grey slip-ons,smelling like I just fallen into a vat of Kouros, whilst smoking a Rothmans (before the days of 'royals' I might add),and putting 50p into the jukebox in the hope of some Iron Maiden's Seventh Son (the whole album for 50p that is)...

My fav's at the time were...

kontiki-70cl_zpswogvrl9l.jpg

Or alcho-Lilt as I affectionately called it...(Today,1 bottle of Gin-2ltr's Lilt, just as good!)

Unless the pub only had Stella or Krony that is...

And whilst living in Exmouth in 1988 I developed rather a liking for the draught version of this...

But last night...P.G.Tips,watching a movie in bed with the wife...who wasnt born till 84 :???:.how the times have changed...

Young's amber ale (again - have just opened the barrel).

This has definitely grown on me (and if I had something else to drink i might leave it for another week or two). Not as moreish as their ipa but they have a repeat customer (until I sort out my venture into AG...)

The Golden Stag extract kit from the festival range. Started and out of the bottle (as per the pic) in 5 weeks and it's bloody tremendous. Even before I do my first ever AG brew these things are pretty amazing for kits. I've just started a Pilgrims hope this weekend. Anyone else done any Festival kits?

I know it's a bit early in the day for this and I am not drinking at 11am (I'd be asleep by three o clock) but here's what I'm loading into the fridge.
Youngs Harvest Lager with lime and Perle hops - 5.9%
Coopers English Bitter with E.Kent Golding hops - 7%
Coopers Canadian Blonde with Galaxy hops - 6.5%
Coopers Stout with coffee and German Cascade hops - 6.8%
Young Harvest Pilsner with Aurora hops - 7%
And my first bottle of John Bull Best Bitter with Perle hops - 5.8%

I will also get to try a Coopers Stout that I bottled on 25/04/15 that had coffee and Aramis hops - 5.5%

I won't be drinking all of them tonight but they're in the fridge for the weekend and I get to play a kid in a sweetshop with them, so Cheers All, looking forward to a nice little tipple about sixish tonight.

Yeah, they are all pretty good and foolproof.
Razorback is very good and i think they do a limited edition elderflower sometimes.

Saw Brewdogs this is lager in morrisons the other day and not tried it before, so thought I'd give it a go. Wish I hadn't bothered. I assumed it would be along the lines of Adnams Dry Hopped, but no. If some one poured it in a glass and told me it was fosters, I don't think I would question it.

Sadly I have another 3 cans.

Just opened a deuchers ipa which I kegged the other day lovely stuff.

Just picked up a mixture of Yeastie Boys, Tuatara, Three Boys and Renaissance from Fresh Fields Market in Croydon. They also have 8 Wired Raison Sauvin, which is one of my favourite beers of the past few years. Yes, New Zealand beers from a greengrocers in Croydon!

If anyone is ever in the area, please pay them a visit. Impressive selection and very passionate about getting quality beer in.

They're also helping to organise a beer festival at Croydon Town Hall in October.
