This is a hopped up version of Ghost Ship with added cascade that ventures a bit more towards American Pale Ale territory but still very reminiscent of the original.

Based on this recipe which is more faithful to the original

As mentioned in the other forum the Adnams yeast really is important and imparts a lot of the flavour in this beer, I rescued some from a GS mini keg as suggested above and shown here

Oh and I'm drinking a bottle of my John Bull IPA partial mash that is going down rather well!

First of my Smugglers Ale, little short on gas and a bit cloudy but it's due another week warm and another 2 weeks cool at minimum to condition. Just couldn't resist any longer as its my first brew. Happy to say it tastes full of the promise of better to come through age :thumb:

I've just opened a bottle of Fullers 1845 which has a best before date of September 2013! Been sat at the back of my beer shelf for, er, quite a while! It's very dark, and has a sherry like flavour!

Partial mash brew made with a single hop.

Marynka - so Polish Pale Ale.

Bottled 6th June 2015.

Last night i was drinking Sharps Wolf Rock Red IPA and very nice it was:D

Currently recovering from cider then porter, then baileys after the wife returned from a night out with her sister... :drunk:

last night was Bintang, the local sh*t pilsner here still waiting for my cider to ferment!

Ah, Bintang. After travelling through Thailand (Singha & Chang), Malaysia and Singapore (Tiger), Australia (VB, Coopers) and Fiji (Fiji Bitter: The sportsman's beer!) getting to Indonesia and supping on a Bintang was like... someone had used the bottle for petrol first :sad::sick:

Having an afternoon slurp. Just polished of an ordinary bitter made with some first gold instead of EKG that Clibit sent me in a hop swap. Very nice. Must get some first gold. Geterbrewed don't have any, so can't get some for peanuts.

Just about to open a dry stout.

I got some on ebay recently, I often by hops there if I don't need a big order from geterbrewed (mainly on impulse). They were about £4.50 for 100g I think.

The seller is ram eng. Dean or something. Have used him load of times and are of decent quality.

I didn't think of ebay for ordering hops. Seems you pay a bit more than when ordering a big order from somewhere like geterbrewed but you can get smaller amounts without paying a postage cost that equals the cost of the hops. Thanks for the heads up.
