Just had a bottle of my 'take' on a Ghost ship brew. B####y fantastic,possibly the best beer i have done so far:thumb:
Thinking of re brewing this one very very soon:grin:
 
I'm sat watching Day One of the Tour de France and I was right. :thumb:

The second MK hasn't made it to the end of Day One of the TdF because my Vienna Lager Batch One is a dangerously palatable brew; ...

... but luckily I brought a bottle of Mild in from the garage to see the end of today's Time Trial.

I just daren't start MK number three because I want to save enough to compare this brew with Vienna Lager Batch Two which has a long time to go before it will be carbonated and conditioned.

Ah well, back to the TdF with a bottle of Mild. :thumb:

and I'm starting in a moment with one of my own Punk clones that is nothing like the real thing!
 
Starting with my Hefeweizen and homemade ciabatta. Will be shortly followed by my 4 week old Oatmeal Stout (fingers crossed), a Manhattan, then some Glenfarclas 15yr old malt.

Tonight it is two clone beers - Exmoor Beast and John Willy Lees Moonraker.

Since both these beers are basically an Extra Special Bitter, with an added one can kit (Tesco closing down sale), they come out rather strong. The Beast was bottled 31st March and the Moonraker on the 6th May.

This following an afternoon couple of almost mundane ESB's following the Lions' game down in NZ :thumb:
 
Last night...brew dog electric India saison...just to see what a saison should taste like as I was unsure that mine was right. Mine (well it the youngs new world saison actually!) is easily comparable and most drinkable....but dangerous! I also sampled my Greg Hughes part mash American wheat which is very nice....
But I'm afraid I was very,very drunk....

Didn't like that saison. Not a traditional saison but rather a BD amplified saison
 
One (or two) of my oak-aged ale. Tastes great, looks crystal clear but just missing some carbonation. Oh well, I'll know for next time...

Started with a quick Elvis Juice and now following that with another glass of my cloned Vienna Waltz.....
.... ahhhh...life is sooooo good..! :drink:

Couple of pint of golden stag, then probably a few on the munitions pilsner. Popped a coopers cervesa into the secondary to lager today, after a week with citra dry hops it smelled amazing.

2 degrees for 4-5 weeks and then another 2 to carb, 2 to conditions.....soon be Christmas

Careful. The mods stamp out all behaviour like that, and you haven't got a leg to stand on.

Made a batch of headcraker and infused with 3 dorset naga chillies, turned out crakin, nice green chilli flavour note with a subtle back ground hum . definatly recommend
 
just trying my saison out.



time to store down the shed as they've carbed up nice in a week :grin:



just have to leave them alone for a few months :(

I have found a use for the God Awful Barley Wine I brewed last year! :thumb:

Started on 2nd March 2016 and coming in at an ABV of 10.6% it was like drinking alcoholic unsweetened dark chocolate. :doh:

Today, I needed the box that I have been keeping the Barley Wine in so I moved the bottles to a shelf in the garage and brought one into the house for yet another tasting session.

It still tasted like drinking dark chocolate but the bitterness has reduced so much that I thought "Shandy?" and mixed the 500ml bottle of Barley Wine with 250ml of lemonade.

Result! It's still very "dark chocolate" in looks and taste, but it's now a drink that will go down nicely during the Autumn and Winter; especially when it's not cold enough for a Mild or a Stout, but it's still warm enough for a Shandy. :thumb:

Plus it will get rid of my never to be made again Barley Wine without throwing it away! :thumb: :thumb:
