More up my street

Onto the second of the beers @dave_77 very kindly shared with me - a Belgian Single.
Pale gold colour with a tight white head and good clarity. The aroma is predominantly spicy phenols with a little citrus. Flavour is similar, with the citrus notes coming through a bit more along with some honey, biscuit malt character. Finishes very clean and quite dry, very refreshing.
This is right up my street and is a cracking beer - I can see why it placed well at the Scottish Nationals.

A Speyside malt is always magicVery cheap single malt, in fact, such a cheapo one that I'm taking it out of my collection to make room for something better.
Still very nice for it's price point though (about £18 from Tesco if memory serves), way more complex than it has any business being at such a bargain basement level.
