A fantastic Marsala Weizenbock from the Maisel & Friends brewery in Bayreuth, Germany. The barrel-aged, creamy Weizenbock is a perfect symbiosis with the aromas of the sweet liqueur wine.

I’ve been travelling a bit more for work lately and stumbled upon this place in Cheshire. Cracking tap room and some lovely beers. Had to bring a few bottles home. This is nice, my favourite so far is their harlequin pale ale..

Not a bad scotch, a little rough without a few drops of water, but still nice.

Nine days in the bottle, and my Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone is ready to drink. I need to get this down fast before the flavour the Cascade hops bring to the beer diminishes.

I invited a colleague for a post work half on the way home but he wanted AF so we went to the taproom instead.

I’m terrible at picking from such menus. I had Resolution 24 which was nice but a bit dank. Then This is Citra which was very smooth. Should have tried Dreams, maybe next week.

I thought last year they were branching out more into different styles but this selection is very samey.

Having a few glasses of this ordinary bitter I kegged at the end of December.
Northern Brewer & Goldings, I used S-04 for the first time and it has a nice clean but fruity taste which goes well with the simple malt bill.

Terrible lighting, pretty decent wine.

I think it's my first time trying Hungarian wine, pleasantly surprised.

Busy day cleaning, as all my kegs were empty this morning, took the opportunity to clean the beer fridge lines and taps. Then cleaned the 3 kegs, so I could then keg my NEIPA, cleaned the fermenter and then gave my chiller a caustic soak. Time for a beer.

A quick try of the said beer force carbed at 30psi and shaken a few times. It won’t be at its best for this months comp, it’ll be worth getting another opinion.

Pretty bland lager but then I think most lager is pretty bland anyway.
