They do some nice beers, good luck with the move.O’Haras Red Ale next. This is the definitive Irish Red for me (and I consider myself an aficionado of the style).

No idea. Hop character is low, it’s the crystal malt combination that makes it stand out from the crowd. These beers are all about getting the malt bill right.
Next time, I’m going to do my 2022 LAB recipe but swap the CaraRed for either Simpsons Aromatic or a CaraMunich. Or, if its for the Nitro tap, swap the 7% crystal from something beefier.

Bottled in April, a blend of tail ends of casks brewed in '23.
Effing cold, but recognisably those tasty beers.
Poured too much yeasty sediment, damn!
A beautiful Claret from Majestic, with lamb steaks.
A combination made in Heaven.
The Christmas '87 Cockburns port.
I'm so glad I have more of this in the understairs cupboard.
(behind that dresser).

I’ve taken down and packed away all the outdoor decorations today so my grotto has reverted to my bar. Now I’m looking forward to summer BBQs and summer beers - though I have a lot of winter beer to get through yet. I’m starting tonight with a bitter. This is my Full English bitter but with a few grams less of dark crystal. I’m surprised by the difference and I actually prefer the original.
I've had a whisky at the mother in laws now I'm home and it's a Pipster!
Next up is my stout “Smooth Operator”.

Wasn’t going to imbibe tonight but had a **** of a day due to a failed septic tank and associated flooding so decided to have one of my last Belgian dubbles (bottled January 2024)
A Belgian Dubbel is just where I was headed next. I named this one Wallonia after a region in Belgium known, among other things, for it’s traditional trappist beers. Lovely!
Moving on to whisky now. This one was part of my Christmas present from our youngest.
If I hadn't had a drink I'd be round for one.

It has quite a mild flavour, a little peat a little smoke, slightly sweet, quite smooth.
