This is becoming one of my favourite beers. I had the politically correct version last month, but the black market Hazelnut extract works so much better. I’ll park my left leaning centralist viewpoint for the next half hour and bask in the glory of @phildo79's Hazelnut Brown Ale. It’s a truly wonderful brew, cheers mate 🍻.

PS. When’s the next batch going on, asking for a friend 😂

Not as nice as many other bourbon cask single malts I've tried, a bit flat initially, the bourbon comes through a bit with the addition of a bit of water but it didn't really stand out for me.

I'm not usually a huge fan of rum cask single malts (or rum in general for that matter) but this was a pleasant surprise. Really smooth and amazingly complex considering it's a cheap whisky, definitely turned me on to the rum side of things!

Please, make the pain stop.

Can I give the guys at Impossibrew a massive plug.
I discovered them at the end of the summer. I don't get much of the 'buzz' they talk about. I'm guessing that is because I'm usually navel deep in beers that runn between 5 and 7% ABV. However, the Lager and Pale Ale are both exceptionally tasty (compared to the no alcohol competition). Perfect if you're having a dry night, or even month.

Haven’t posted much on here over Xmas, mainly due to most drinking being done in our favourite local pubs. Plenty of HPA, Shropshire Gold B&P Original Bitter.

One planned Christmas brew went down the drain due to a series of cock ups during fermenting. However, the leftovers I chucked in an empty ashbeck bottle and fermented with some leftover London turned out great…
